Ristorante Castello at Blue Bell

The food at this restaurant is generally good and the service staff is pleasant. However, there is an issue with making reservations. This was the second time I had made reservations directly with the restaurant for 4 people, only to arrive and be told they had no record of it. This has happened twice in the past several months. Although we were eventually seated, my wife and I, along with our friends, are unlikely to make reservations here again in the future. My family and I ordered take out from Ristorante Castello tonight. I decided on the filet for $48.00. (One of the pricier dishes) The reason why I bring up cost is due to the quality of the dish. I received the filet with 10 green beans and that was all for the meal. For this cost, you would expect a better presentation and quantity of food. I called the restaurant to speak to the “acting” manager and her response was, “This is how we serve it in the restaurant if you were dining in”. No other explanation and no apology or the want to please the customer. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. See the picture attached.

My husband and I had reservations and were the first in-line at the hostess stand. The hostess/manager was very busy. Other people were coming into the restaurant, some with reservations and some without. She sat the couple that walked in with no reservations first and overlooked us then tried to seat the next couple who had reservations after us! We were completely disrespected by the manager ! And on top of that , the food was not up to par as it usually was. I will not be returning to this restaurant nor recommend anyone to go there.

The restaurant has an excellent atmosphere and serves top-notch food. Our dinner was amazing. We hadn't been since they relocated to their new spot, and it was a huge upgrade. The ambiance was fantastic, the staff was great, and it was definitely worth the expense. We give it a perfect score for food, service, and atmosphere. Dining in for dinner costs $50-$100 per person. Great place for the LGBTQ community to dine out at and enjoy celebrations! Hostess is an older transgender blond woman with a polite and friendly disposition typically wearing a TBD. Although the food could be better, the service is excellent. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
