My son and I ate at Adesso a few times after it opened up, last August, and were pleased after each visit. The restaurant, I believe, is owned by the same owner as Restaurant Gottardo, also in Baden (on the other side of town) and has the same menu. It is, however, a difference experience. The menu is basic Italian. A nice variety of appetizers, pasta, pizzas, risotto, and meat selections. They also have specials, if you cannot find something enticing on the menu. The food is very good, and the service very pleasant and attentive. Things can get a bit dicey if the restaurant is busy, and your wait time may increase. But the atmosphere is very nice, and this is a place to go and relax for a while, enjoy a nice glass of Italian wine, and some good food. The restaurant also has an outside seating area. I ate outside once, and did not enjoy it, as it is right next to a very busy intersection, and to a bus stop. Perhaps, with time, they can put up a sort of hedge or plant barrier to keep some of the noise at bay. This restaurant really has the neighborhood joint feel to it. After the 3rd or 4th time we went, the manager and our usual waitress both shook our hands to welcome us. I found that quite nice, and reminded me of the feel of my neighborhood restaurant back home in France. For English speakers only, I believe they have a menu in English, and the staff can get along with speaking English, so that should not be a problem. Overall, if you live in that neighborhood, of it Gottardo is full, give Adesso a try. It's a nice place, the staff is welcoming and professional, and the food is very good. Enjoy!
