Ristorante Vallemaggia Pro Infirmis

This restaurant employs up to disabled people and aims to train them in the kitchen, as serving staff, etc. There is a daily set lunch of three courses with a veggy option. Although a short walk from the city centre it is well worth...finding and supporting this place. We've eaten there many times and always been impressed by the quality of the food and the value for money, quite apart from the fact that by eating there you are supporting a very worthwhile enterprise.

For a good price, we got an excellent lunch: tasty, nicely presented, special and just as abundant as you want a lunch to be in order to feel full but not bloated and sleepy. For the main course at lunch you can choose between two...options. Besides that, you have the option of adding a starter and/or a dessert. Service was efficient and friendly, the place comfortable and relaxing.

We were people during International Film Festival in Locarno. We tried Gazpacho soup, green salad with mango and prawns, beef tenderloin with mix of fresh vegetables, lamb cutlets, oven potateos and gratin... JUST as said, atmosphere, service dishes absolutely as you wish it...to be! LOVED IT!

Highly recommended for lunch and dinner (need to make a reservation during Film Festival times). Friendly service, excellent value/money daily menu deals.
