River Kitty Cat Cafe is a clean and beautifully decorated place with wonderful cats. My only issue was with the staff and the lack of clear signage. As a first-time visitor, I had no prior information. When I arrived with my toddler, a blonde barista greeted us rudely and kept glaring at my daughter throughout our initial transaction. I tried to ignore it, knowing some people may be uncomfortable around kids, and we enjoyed the delicious coffee and macarons from the menu before heading to the cat room.

My wife and I have been multiple times and love it! It's always so calming and is a great way to quietly unwind. The coffee is delicious (I suggest the razzleberey mocha) and there is plenty of cute merchandise. You have to pay to see the cats but I feellike that is reasonable since the money goes towards their care. If you're bringing children please understand that it is acalm, quiet environment and that if the cats get scared they have an area downstairs they can run to to hide so please bepatient if there aren't many upstairs. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Place is very cleanly and the cats are so happy and playful. Boyfriend adopted his new best friend from here and VHS offered lots of services to further her care which is just incredible. The merch in here is so cute and the food was pretty yummy. A little overpriced but worth it for the cats! The price to hangout with the cats however is perfectly reasonable and worth it! This place is absolutely wonderful! There are so many adorable, playful cats all in one spot, and best of all, they’re all available for adoption. The cats wear collars to indicate their gender—blue for boys and red for girls. You can pay $6 for a 30-minute visit or $8 for an hour, and I chose the hour option—it flew by! Each cat has its name on its collar, and the staff know each one well, even though they often get adopted within a few weeks. I also enjoyed a caramel coffee macaroon during my visit, which was incredible.

I loved coming here to play with the kitties. I do think a half an hour is plenty of time in there. I love that you can go inside and get a coffee or macarons and watch the kitties from outside the kitty room. The macarons were wonderful although Idid feel they were a little overpriced. The raspberry, coconut, dark chocolate were delicious however the blueberry didn?t tastelike blueberry. I?m definitely looking forward to returning to the kitty cafe.
This is my new favorite coffee shop! I was a little skeptical about coming here, but this place blew me away. The staff is great, the decor is beautiful, and the cats are taken care of so well! I love that the staff explains the mission as well as the way everything works for new customers. I’m also excited about the new morning hours! River Kitty Cat Cafe is definitely worth a visit!
The atmosphere was adorable! I had a great time hanging out with the furry friends. The coffee was excellent too—I tried a meowcchiatto and loved it. If I’m ever in the Evansville area again, I’ll definitely return!
