Riverside Terrace At Crowne Plaza Stratford-upon-avon

On another day maybe this would’ve been decent. Unfortunately as we arrived two residents who were drunk and likely on mdma were causing a disturbance. The staff did their best to handle it. The two men were approaching tables and talking nonsense to customers, they made it to us eventually. Ostensibly harmless but very inappropriate and dragged the atmosphere down considerably. Pointless booking a terrace table as it was a free for all outside of the restaurant. Better to have booked a restaurant table. Hot wings were pretty decent enjoyed those. We booked restaurant for 5:30 however when we arrived we were told it did not open till 6. Some common sense by a member of staff let us sit there in the end as we had our daughter and the bar area was noisy and no table suitable for a high chair. They were severely understaffed, turning people away when only a few people sitting down. That was shown by the slow to non existent service we received. We waited almost 15 mins for our daughters two scoops of ice cream. Our plates weren’t cleared for almost half an hour after finishing. The people who served us were kind to be fair, just not enough of them. Food was decent, although menu didn’t match exactly what we got in a few places. Food area...

We had a lovely lunch on the terrace, with balearic music and Sax player adding to the summery atmospheric vibes. James served us, was very attentive and the food was really good. All in all it was a great lunch in the sun at a great spot. Never to be forgotten! We'll be back

Unfortunately we didn’t get the table we booked and ended up being seated on a sofa with x2 separate chairs with a very small table which made it very difficult to eat our food. Not impressed the food was very expensive for what we had .

Yet again another stay at this beautiful hotel and not been disappointed! The food is lovely as always
