I wrote a review more than two years ago with the same title. Since I wrote that review I have been there many many times. And never have I been disappointed, or for that matter any of my friends and/or colleagues. The food quality is...extraordinary. The seared scallop salad, the snapper ceviche, the sashimi platter the cigars, the squid tempura are among our favorites. The waitstaff is good and unobtrusive. They are byo pp). One of the top Japanese places in Surry Hills Darlinghurst, there should be no doubt. You can't go wrong with them although it is probably a good idea to avoid peak times.
I had an amazing dining experience at this newly opened restaurant. The fusion of Japanese cuisine with Western influences was truly inspiring. Some standout dishes were the flavorful grilled scallops, crunchy tuna rice, and spicy chicken. The 36-hour sous vide pork with carrot puree and ginger sauce was incredibly tender and delicious. The sesame panna cotta for dessert was a unique and delightful treat. The staff was friendly and attentive, and I am excited to see what creations the chef will come up with next.
Rk San provided an exceptional dining experience. We opted for the 7-course tasting menu, which was a special offering and highly recommended. The dishes were of top quality and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was also fantastic, perfect for a romantic date or a relaxing evening out. I highly recommend Rk San. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.
The most amazing food I have had the pleasure of eating. For the price you may think this is just another restaurant, but this restaurant could easily double the price and I would still be happy.

The staff and chef at this restaurant are extremely friendly, making for a wonderful degustation experience! The fried sushi with raw tuna is a must-try and comes highly recommended.
So incredible, literally one of the best jap's in sydney, clever contemporary and affordable. Don't bother with a hatted restaurant. Just go to RK San
Fantastic food and great value. Really enjoyed the king fish carpaccio, sous vide pork belly was to die for! Loved the fact it is BYO too!
True to traditional Japanese taste and respect seafood flavour (and bonus is with a comtemporary fusion twist that works)
