Last night my work collegues and partners abd I went out to celebrate our apprentice's 21st birthday. My partner and I were the first to arrive as we live the furthest away. The rest of our party is local. We waited 15 minutes untill we were eventually asked to be seated, even though several staff members walked past us. We had 2 tables and my partner put our order in first , my boss and her husband and friend put there order in right after. After 3 meals that came out after we ordered, we asked a waitress where our meals were. She said it depended on what we ordered and it wouldnt be long. We weren't expecting much from Fitzy's, as an unknown pub in an unknown area out of the way from our usual travels. We were late lunching, and kept to our usual pub suspects - salmon for me and steak for the carnivore partner. We were warmly greeted and seated by Nate, who also came to check how our meals were a little after they were served. He was genuine and well spoken.I'd had salmon yesterday, at a bayside pub that professed to be steak and seafood professionals - and here we were inland in a rougher area. But happily the salmon was perfect, the skin was good too. The chips weren't overdone, the garden salad was the usual, but the coleslaw lifted the whole level of usual sides provided....
We would often go here but haven't been out for dinner for a little while. We enjoy Road House Grill, our favourite is the cheesy garlic bread! Oh.my.god. To die for! My partner loves their ribs, although. I'm one of those sill people you call a vegetarian and for me there isn't a whole lot of options. Salad or chips, I do eat sea food but even then there isn't a lot of options for that. I under stand it's a "road house Grill" but they used to have a beautiful salmon dish that came with guacamole, sweet chilli sauce and another sauce that I can't remember. I loved it! Popped in an met friends for an early Friday afternoon dinner. We arrived around 5pm (friend has very young children) and enjoyed the quiet ambience to ourselves. The kids playroom is basic but kept the little people entertained enough to give is some adult time.The food was very basic pub grub but tasty all the same, the kids menu is quite extensive compared to most with around 8 different options.I enjoyed a nice seared Salmon however there were very basic sides. Couldn't even order mash instead of chips and got a plain potato in its jacket. I may be Celiac however I still enjoy flavour. Better luck next time, I hope :)

Party of 22 including 8 kids from toddlers to 9. Again the food and service was very good, (they were expecting 170 that night... it was booked out) no stuff ups with orders and everyone happy with their meals. My eye fillet was beautifully cooked and very tender. Games room is a plus to keep the kids occupied and kids meals came with a small activity book and crayons. The only downer was the price of my drink... $11.50 for a midori and pineapple juice.. (I had to pay for a tiny bottle of juice as they don't have the large bottles)... bit rich when the cocktails were only $11.00.
We went to Fitzy's with another couple for lunch because their sign indicated 'lunch from $8.95, and we could understand why there wasn't well patronised. The options for the advertised price were few, and we wished that we had gone elsewhere. One friend required gluten-free options and the staff wouldn't budge on varying her preferred meal. It would have been easy for the chef to alter the meal, but instead, she had to select a more expensive meal. Fitsy's at Loganholme is much more flexible! We won't be back, and will not recommend this venue!
WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENTI celebrated my 73rd birthday here on 17 October 16 by taking my guests and family along for dinner.
I have to say that for pub food it was really quite good - certainly better than my usual Tues night at the Greenbank RSL.

ordered medium well done steak , but got the tough and rough and over cooked one as pic. do not waste your money.
I've been here a few times to the roadhouse grill for a feedI usually get a steak here and they are always nice.
