So, lets just start by saying that I honestly can't recommend this place enough. I live in Spain, and my sister in the UK and I ordered for her to have an afternoon tea delivered to her house in Darlington. On the order I requested...for it to be delivered between and and when I emailed the cafe for some additional information, they replied back within min with all the answers I needed. On the morning of the delivery I received an email informing me that my delivery would be late. However, this wasn't needed in the end as my order arrived exactly on time. visited robineau during the week expected that it would be a normal caffe, lady who told us it was only afternoon tee as they still climb up, but she would be happy to sit us for afternoon tee in itself...similar, I tried to get tee twice in the past day (because in a well-known central london restaurant and we are not coffee was top class and as my wife did not want a hot drink she got a juice as part of her order. the sweets were also top class and service while was impeccable. in relation to cockerton I was very surprised that this jewel was hidden there!
had a standard and vegetarian afternoon tea in restaurant. it exceeded all my expectations! we were already at lunch, but this was our first visit for covid and our first afternoon tea. it was incredible, the best afternoon I had. the service was wonderful, our server was so beautiful and made our visit so special. the aromas of sandwiches and cakes we had were so good, and the scones with their vanilla cream.....delicious.... this is not an ordinary afternoon! a very special tasty, I love this place and we were so glad to be back. highly recommended.
Yesterday, March I visited Robineau for a lunchtime birthday treat. As always the quality of food was excellent as was the service from the staff. Considering the current situation we all face, I have to comment very positively on the standard of hygiene I...observed both in the shop and in the cafe. I was seated in a position where I could observe the shop and the lady serving yesterday was repeatedly washing surfaces and door handles etc when she could. Well done Robineau for being so proactive in putting your hygiene policy into action.

I had ordered a delivery of food to supply us with a ready made main course and pudding for yesterday evening. At whilst the delivery window was still open, I rang to get an idea of timing as I was due to go onto...a zoom call at and wanted to arrange to leave the door open etc. Jane took the call and explained I had ticked for delivery next week! Not good! Within half an hour the food was packed up and delivered together with a specially made pud as all stock had been sold! Now that’s customer service. Thank you so much!
My first visit (but my wife has been many times before) for a special birthday brunch. Pleasant surroundings and nice staff. Good menu choice for a different type of special brunch. Place was busy so service was a little slow. Felt sorry for those families...with small children as they had to wait quite a while. Food was very good but as said, took a long time. Teas/Coffess brough earlier were finished long before food arrival. In summary lovely food in plesant surroundings but quite slow service
My friend had quiche and salad, I had cheese scone with hummus and salad. Both were lovely light lunches. Service excellent and attentive. Worst thing was choosing which beautiful cakes to take home! Fabulous selection as always, tasting as good as they look.
I would like to use this opportunity to thank all the workers for making Valentine's Day in the afternoon such a wonderful experience for my wife and I. only a great visit. many thanks and hope to call again soon.

we ordered a holiday cake as a high-time cake for a small high-time this month. the cake was made beautiful and tasted super, and we could have adjusted it more to our lust (for a small fee).
