Rocco’s Wood Fired Pizza

The food is always great. My issue tonight was attempting to order take out. Just wanted the rigatoni with meatballs. First tried online. Got a message saying online ordering was unavailable. Not a big deal, was just pasta. When I asked for a sausage link, take out person said they don 't have sausage. Seems odd for an Italian restaurant. But, okay. Looking at the specials menu, there was a dish with sausage. I pointed that out, her answer it 's cut up . I would have had to cut it up anyway. She didn 't seem interested in checking with anyone to see if I could have it. I then asked for a side of grated cheese. I got a blank stare. Been here two other times before, had their woodfired pizza both times... the third and most recent time I've been, it was like it had new owners. Previous times the pizza had been larger, thin crust with a nice crisp, you could taste the freshness of the cheese, and ichad considered it one of my favorite pizzas in the area. This time however, smaller pizza, the crust was different, chewy, no crispness, and the cheese definitely didn't taste fresh. Service and atmosphere were excellent, many great choices of beer, and an excellent bar... this place had been excellent in the past, but I won't be getting the pizza again.

We love wood fired pizza and rocco's did not disappoint. The salad was excellent, the wood fired wings were delicious, and of course the pizza, Sicilian White had a perfect crust, crispy, airy, just enough thickness to stand up to the toppings. Finished it off with Tiramisu for dessert. Service was excellent too. We will be back to try the rest of the menu.

Pizza for takeout can be a hit and a miss sometimes last time we had a takeout pizza was very dry . Don't know if it was sitting around too long ? Meatballs and sauce are another good menu item. Prices are reasonable as long as food is good.

Amazing food here. Much more than pizza but that is why I come here. They have a mushroom pizza that is best in town. Thank you Rocco’s for the best pizza in Buffalo!

Flew in from Austin, TX and was recommended this place not even 15 minutes from leaving the airport so I had to bring my parents in to try it out....

Best pizza in Amherst. Smoked chicken wings and sausage pizza are so yummy! We are always happy with our dinner.
