Rock And Rye Oyster House

Simply put, one of the BEST meals in my life. From the appetizer of seared peppers with sesame, tomatoes with cheese and bread to a SIMPLY SENSATIONAL oyster offering including the Rockefeller, pan fried and then one with mushroom and crust......wow! Dessert of the pannacotta and the chocolate torte was unbelievable! Our young server, so sincere and anxious to please us (and surrounding tables) was delightful! An amazing dining experience for $100 including a wine and a draft beer! The outside deck environment, charming, reminded me of eating in Italy.

Good food at a reasonable price. Wine not so much. $12 for a glass of Sauvignon Blanc is criminal. The HH mussels were very good. The corn and clam chowder was okay, but you get the feeling they are trying to stretch out the clam chowder with filler. The scallops were good. Dessert selection was small and not appealing. The back patio is nice, but it overlooks an alley filled with dumpsters. Service was good.

Such a cute date night experience! Fried oysters were phenomenal- all seafood plates were fresh and delicious. I would definitely leave the littles at home when going. Our server, Pete, was attentive but respected our time and wasn't overbearing.

if they stay in a casual environment for a phenomenal dinner, they will definitely get to rock and rust. our eating was spectacular and our server was even better. she had fired our food at the right time. we're coming back.

large eating and delicious inventive cocktails, music was not too loud for talks, and much space when they are after about 7:30 or so. Menu is a little on the small side, but what they do, they do well.
