As it was 6pm on a dullish Monday mid September evening we walked in expecting the restaurant to be half full at best, instead we were informed that a table was available for 1 hr 10 minutes only. As we had already decided on fish and chips this was not an issue. Even so we did accept the offer of a description of that days offerings, yes it is true that only about a 3rd of the potential items were available, but that in itself is a good thing as it shows they only serve good quality fresh fish which was available at the markets that day. The pieces of haddock put in front of us were huge, also the batter was crisp, the fish moist and tasty. The 1st portions of chips were okish, I did have a 2nd portion which were much better, I assume these were very fresh outmof the frier. Yes Rockfish is expensive, but good fresh fish always is/ Reading the negative posts shows me that many people do not understand fish nor its likely cost. One person said their Rockfish and chips was the wrong type of fish as Rock has just a central bone Rockfish doesn;t offer Rock the menu clearly sayd Rockfish which is something entirely different
