My wife and I were en route to a holiday in south east Switzerland. In prior years we have always by passed basel but this year I determined that we should visit this ancient city on the Rhine. I particularly wanted to visit the Kuntsmuseum that has a superb art collection. Hotel Rossli was easy to locate and is well placed for getting into the city centre via an excellent tram service. This is clearly a popular hotel; they were doing a roaring dinner trade. The hotel was comfortable, the service was good and the dinner and breakfast were of a high standard. Sehr zu empfehlen. Kreative Speisekarte, nette Bedienung und schönes Ambiente. Preise im mittleren Segment. Allerdings ist das Essen hervorragend. Zu empfehlen ist das Piccata und das Chinoise, welches Tradition hat.
