We've been a couple of times for lunch to the Rössli in Gelterkinden and both times we had similar experiences. The food is of original and high quality. The prices are reasonable and the ambiance is also pleasant. But one has to remember that good food takes a little while to prepare and good restaurants tend to be busy so it can take a little while before the food is served. The service is OK but not exactly friendly rather unsmiling and taciturn, but I suppose it's difficult with so many hungry customers around to be friendly all the time. My recommendation: Go and enjoy the food at a leisurely pace. Book a table in advance and relax.
The Cavallino is a surprisingly good restaurant. From the outside it looks very much like a traditional, somewhat boring Swiss restaurant, but it contains a lot more than the package communicates. The menu contains a large selection of high quality meat, ranging from chicken to angus beef and bison filet. The meat is served on hot stones and with fantastic sauces. The service is friendly, the prices are upper class. If you have the budget, make sure to give it a try.
Hervorragender heisser Stein – perfekt zubereitet und top Qualität. Auch die vegetarischen Gerichte waren überraschend gut. Der warme Schokoladenkuchen ist ein Muss, und auch das Tartar war ausgezeichnet. Die Preise sind zwar hoch, aber absolut gerechtfertigt. Freundlicher Service und angenehme Atmosphäre. Klare Empfehlung!
Ich habe hier Anfang März Pizza für TakeAway geholt. Sehr gute Pizza, und interessante Auswahl, wie z.B. Pizza Bianco. Kann mich nicht entscheiden, welche Pizza besser ist in Gelterkinden, teilt sich Platz 1 mit einem anderen Restaurant :
