Trying out Roma Cucina for date night turned out to be an excellent decision. My husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and even had to swap bites (always a good sign). We are both vegetarians but we didn't feel limited here, it was nice to have some delicious choices to ponder over. I settled on a Ravioli special and my husband got chips and a margarita pizza. The staff were super attentive and pleasant, the food came quickly and the atmosphere was casual and elegant.Afterwards we walked the board walk in Freo and talked with satisfied bellies and minds. My family and I have eaten here twice in the past week due to various special events and on both occasions our meals were cooked to perfection - it is certainly one of the best meals I have had at a restaurant in Fremantle.Being quite a few of us, we all opted for vastly different meals and I am pleased to say that each one was cooked to perfection and served really quickly, even on a Friday night when the restaurant was almost full! I had both a Chicken Parmigiana &Gnocchi Bolognaise and both dishes were delectable.Certainly recommend to anyone looking for a hearty Italian meal in Fremantle.
Don't bother with the busy cappuccino strip for Italian food, the Roma has got to be the best in Fremantle, friendly staff, good food and a decent place to eat in. My only complaint which I hate to say.... we asked if we could take some of the leftovers home only to be charged $1.50 for the plastic container, first time EVER that has happened in any of the hundreds of restaurants we have eaten at, the meal cost over $90 so surely they could have thrown it in for nothing. A bit too greedy me thinks....that aside I would go back as the food was so good and staff so obliging.

Last week accountant for my boss said in Freo try this little old restaurant where locals go and not on main strip. 3 Guys for workmeal went Sat night, 2 from Syd & 1 local expert who has never taken us to a bad place yet. He had never heard of it so he was doubtful but after going there Sat he rang me today & said it was best he has had for ages & he taking wife & friends next Saturday as well. Good old favourite Italian dishes like we remember from Italian restaurants years ago. We are glad we found it.
Nice Italian similar but not exactly the same as the old Roma. The cutlets are still good and all the food we have ordered over the past months since opening have been tasty. The pricing is great for the serving that you get, they haven't let Perth prices influence since the old days. Overall good food that will fill you up.
We were a group of 8 and everyone was complementary about the flavour and size of the portions. Each had that authentic Italian taste to it. Service was pleasant and polite and meals were served when we wanted them. Alcohol is available for purchase, but their BYO facility is for wine only.
Restaurant has mixed opening hours and non at all on Sunday.Best to check first as they don't take bookings.Service and food was good but not particularly cheap.The restaurant was not over busy for a Friday evening, although it is a quite end of town on an evening.
