Roman Palace - Reserva de mesa

We have been going to the Roman Palace for a few years now and have found you know what you are going to get because the cooking is consistent. The menu is not extensive but it does cover most of the popular dishes. They have 7 starters, 6 pastas and one risotto and 7 mains including two of my favourites: roasted lamb shanks and almond crusted chicken. They do allow "Bring Your Own" wine for which they charge corkage. Even so the wine list is not overly expensive with a Margaret River Shiraz at $30 being the most expensive.

We visit Perth every couple of years to see family and always go to this restaurant which is just a 10 minute walk away. The food is excellent and the prices are much more reasonable than Italian restaurants in more fashionable parts of Perth.The owner has lived in Perth for 50 years but comes from Calabria in southern Italy so the cuisine is authentic and, in fact, better than I have experienced when on holiday in Italy itself. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable about the food and wine. Recommended!

We returned to this restaurant after a long absence and nothing has changed, still very good food and friendly staff especially the owners Jason and his Mum & Dad. We all enjoyed good size servings, enough for takeaways afterwards !!!! The only minor comment is the spaghetti marinara was a bit lacking in the amount of seafood however the sauce was very tasteful. Spaghetti bog, Veal Marsala and Penne Pollo were enjoyed. For a licensed venue (you can BYO which is a bonus) the price of drinks was reasonable.

The service staff were friendly and attentive.The portion of Chilli Mussels is very generous with plump fresh mussels in rich special tomato sauce with a hint of wine flavour.The Lamb Shanks were very nicely braised. The Lasagna came with generous amounts of minced meat in a rich sauce. The Seafood Risotto had generous portions of prawns.The tiramisu was heavenly. Reserva una mesa ahora

Don't make the same mistake as me and overlook this place! For years I've driven past judging it, on the somewhat tackie exterior (which looks like it just popped out of the forum). But what a mistake that has been! The best way to some up Roman Palace would be, classic simple family style Italian food done well! Great Pizza's and pastas

My search for good Italian food in Cannington ended here. Well decorated, Small but serene filled place. Tasty food, Good wine, friendly staff.But all these things are available only for the dinner, as it is open only from 5-10 pm. It would have great if it also had an option for Lunch.Bit expensive but totally worth it..!!

It's great to see one of our favourite Italian restaurants back in business after a short but too long break. Our meals were exceptional and the girls (waitress') provided great advise on our selection. I've got to recommend the spaghetti marinara at level 7 chilli temp. Well done and it won't belong before we're back.

Had a large family dinner here on a Friday night. Food was excellent, staff very helpful, prices reasonable.
