We ate on the terrace overlooking the river on the evening of Assumption day, a French public holiday. Wife, me and 3 dogs. The setting was perfect, sunset on a lovely balmy evening. A hint of a small shower had the staff quickly lowering the parasols, creating a warm atmosphere.The food and drink couldn't be faulted, neither cheap nor expensive but excellent quality.All the stopped it getting 5* was that the staff were very flat. Not unwelcoming but not enthusiastic, perhaps the end of a long hot tiring shift and they wanted to be home with their families. Forgivable but less than perfect.Would I go back? Big thumbs up from my wife and me. In fact she said the lamb was the best she had ever...
We ate on the terrace overlooking the river in the evening of Ascension Day, a French holiday. Wife, me and three dogs. The location was perfect, sunset on a beautiful balmy evening. A touch of a small shower had the staff to quickly lower the parasols, making a warm atmosphere. Food and drink could not be failed, neither cheap nor expensive, but excellent quality. The staff was very flat. Not involuntary, but not enthusiastic, perhaps the end of a long hot laborious layer and they wanted to be home with their families. In vain, but less than perfect. Would I go back? Big thumb of my wife and me. In fact, she said the lamb was the best she had ever tasted
