Ropanicea - Reserva de mesa

The name of this restaurant derives from the initials (or first two letters) of the names if several members of the family who run it; that should tell you a great deal. We were met on a sunny terrace with one of the warmest welcomes that we have encountered in France. From the chalk-written 'try our home made Sangria' sign to the local honey pots, from the display bottles of locally-produced beer to the potted plants so recently watered that you have to step over the puddles, this place is about as far from a "McDonald's" as it is possible to get. Really lovely restaurant in a beautiful setting and we were made to feel very welcome straight away. We were brought great spicy olives with our drinks. I had a goat's cheese crêpe and my husband had a spicy pizza, both delicious. We shared an ice cream, huge and also delicious and ended with coffees. Food and drinks (4 beers & coffees) 50€. Would revisit without hesitation.

I'm no snob, but this was really bad! All food was under cooked exept pasta which was over cooked. Kitchen looks like worst case from kitchen nightmare. Afraid I'm getting food poisoned, seriously wish I had skipped it and gone home and eaten some dry bread - I'm totally serious, stay away. Nice location though..

Very friendly staff and great view.I enjoyed my food but kids said their pasta was a bit bland and tasteless, might have been a one off. Wasn't the cheapest meal I've had on holiday but not the most expensive either ! Would consider revisit next year for the views Reserva una mesa ahora

A family friendly and informal restaurant. Great ice creams and the salads are lovely, loads of variety of veg and fruit and huge. The owner and her waiting staff are very friendly and welcoming.
