Fabulous place with the option to stay onsite in a caravan/camper for £20 showers aren’t open but toilet are and they are immaculate. Booked in easily and the staff were brilliant. We ordered food and drinks from the pub and I have to say...it was all brilliant. No rush to order, good at explaining what’s on the menu etc. I ended up having the sausages which were fabulous and my other half had a whale of a fish. Drinks reasonable price normal for pubs £4.20 for a cider, £4.45 for premium beer. Meals you’re looking at £12/£15 a meal. Good range of gins on offer. I would highly recommend this place. They’re excellent themselves on the outside space and covid rules are adhered to. Ps they don’t...

We decided to try camping off the grid for the first time and chose to stay at this local campsite for a night. We booked a grass pitch without electric hook up. We dined at the restaurant (outdoors because of covid) and found the food to be delicious, hot, well presented, and the staff were friendly. We did feel cold without outdoor heaters, but the covid procedures were thorough and well established. However, we felt that the £18 cost for just a grass field pitch was expensive, especially when we were also spending nearly £40 on meals. We would have appreciated a discount on either the pitch or the meals, as is common at other pubs that offer camper pitches with electric hook up.

We visited this lovely pub for the first time on Sunday absolutely desperate for a roast beef Sunday lunch. The owner is a generous, kind soul who explained gently that while they could offer an amazing total of four Award Winning Pies, there was no...roast beef. He then generously suggested places where we might find roast beef. We opted for The Anchor at nearby Apsley Guise and were very happy there. We will return to the Rose Crown at Ridgmont to sample their Award Winning pies. Well, it’s the least we can do.

we could not mistake the service literally, all the staff were very attentive, we did not feel hurryed, very friendly and friendly. eating was amazing. even better be local meat, the cakes and sausages were made by the workers themselves, so passionate about their...foods the cakes and sausages have won prizes so that they speak for themselves and I can agree that they were good worthy of each award, we could not blame. we even bought more cakes and sausages to take home with us and will definitely be back Reserva una mesa ahora

We were drawn to this charming village pub by the presence of a beautiful open field where we could camp overnight, complete with showers, toilets, water, and electric hook-ups. What we didn't anticipate was the incredible homemade pie and mash that exceeded our expectations! The food was fantastic, the staff and locals were friendly, and the choice of drinks was excellent. The prices were reasonable as well. We will definitely be returning for another stay.

fantastic house made cake and sausage. a huge amount of gins also! a great pub serving delicious food. a great homemade cake, maic, plucked and a crippled gravy for £12.00! fantastic. the renter is very friendly and was very welcoming for us....There were not many people eating at lunchtime. So we could talk to the owner. our friends bought frozen cakes and sausages to take home. they were also very valuable.

Lovely homemade pies and sausages but we’ve had better. A good selection of pies and sausages all homemade. Gravy was a bit thin. Prefer seasonal vegetables with pie instead of just peas. Lack of real ales to chose from. One on pump and bottles. Staff...not super attentive as we had to wait a while for one drink.

Amazing quality food, friendly service and a lovely atmosphere. We stopped here for lunch with our 2 year old twins and we all loved our meals. Owner was knowledgeable and helpful as well as being really friendly and welcoming especially with the little ones....We highly recommend and will be returning ASAP. Reserva una mesa ahora

Had lunch off the new Take-away menu. The food was very good and tasty; we had the scampi (excellent), pork and chorizo burger (very tasty) and two plain burgers for the kids.
