I met up with my BFF last night for a quick bite before a meeting. Her suggestion, never been. We sat outside on their very relaxing comfortable patio and each of us ordered an individual pizza. Wow!!! What great flavours!!! I had the sausage with fennel - really good and about as adventurous as I would go. Was not disappointed! The only negative was that the dough, although thin, could have used a couple more minutes to cook. My friend's pizza was a ham/prosciutto and pear pizza. The dining experience at Rosso has been perfect each of the many times I have eaten there. The pizza is among the best I have ever had and certainly better than any I have eaten in Italy. The menu is large enough to suit most tastes and there are usually pizza and salad specials. Service is always genuinely friendly, attentive and helpful. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing. They have a good selection of draft beer, both local and international. Highlights for me are the pizza, which is always great straight form the wood fired oven. Rosso has a shaded patio in the afternoon, and it has a very European feel. This is greatly aided by the solid wine list, lovely pizza and great service. The local organic beef meatballs made a nice starter. This pizza is the thin crust neapolitan style, done in the traditional forno oven, we had the Di Mama which was excellent. A special of the day salad was also well composed and tasty. If you like deserts you will need to save some room as they have lovely gelato in many flavors and if you order the lovely chocolate cake you will get to pick your gelato to go with it. Warning on a hot day they will be running out of some flavors by evening. (it is fresh!)

I have eaten at Rosso many times, most recently with friends for lunch yesterday. I love the ambience, it is small, but really nice, I like the patio sitting out towards 109th street, very urban. The service has always been excellent, friends and attentive. The food has always been wonderful, I enjoyed a salsiccia pizza for lunch with a nice glass of Pinot Noir. The pizza is truly exceptional, very thin crust, perfectly cooked in the wood fired oven. And you myst try a skillet for brunch, I have had these a few times and they are always exceptional. This spot is wonderful and absolutely worth a try.

Folks, if you haven't had Rosso breakfast, it's time you should - one word AWESOME. As a group of us bicycle enthusiasts ( non competitive ) we bike from the Riverbend area to Rosso to have their breakfast almost each weekend. It's a real treat for us! The service is second to none ! Nothing better than sitting out doors with my friends having a great cup of coffee ( I have the organic tea ) and their fantastic .....Verdure Miste breakfast. Try it, you will be delighted. Thank you Rosso !!

Started things with a chilled bottle of Ramato Grigio BT which led to two bottles and the Antipasto Misto was very very good, first time to try warmed up olives and they were really flavorful. Staff was great with suggestions. I had the Salsiccia pizza from the wood fired oven which had the local sausage and it was delicious. The rich black coffee and pistachio gelato to finish things made me very happy. Everyone enjoyed their pizza's and Spaghetti Pomodoro's with extra meatballs.

The pizza was spectacular, honestly as good as what we had in Italy. I wished they had a high chair though- they had a booster seat, but it didn't strap onto the chair, and my wiggly little one year old would be able to get out in seconds. Otherwise though, a fantastic experience with both food and service!

Tried the pulled pork pizza special and it was so good! Our waitress recommended both of our drinks and we loved them both. We happened to stumble across this place and we will definitely return our next time in Edmonton.

Best Italian pizza in the city. Small quaint cozy restaurant/cafe. Pizza's are excellent and cooked well. And of coarse the in house made gelato. The Dark Chocolate sorbet is so amazing! Must have.

My wife and I go here for gelato on the regular here. The Pizza here has won awards for the best pizza for a reason. It's what pizza wishes it could be.
