We loved the ambiance and the service but there was very little on the menu that we could eat. Most dishes were like "creamy white soup with octopus". The first part sounded good until you got to the untraditional part that most Americans would be hesitant to eat. I would highly recommend this for real food connoisseurs, but for the average American you might have to stick to the Beef Roulade or maybe the boiled beef (not our favorite but at least edible). Still, they were very accommodating and the food is very inexpensive for such a nice restaurant. Our dishes were around 30E each, but we usually pay more at our local restaurants that aren't half as nice. Definitely call for reservations if you want to go for dinner, but we went for a late lunch and they were very kind and accommodating. It is definitely worth a visit if you are in Vienna. On the other hand, we have to admit that we didn't care for the Sacher torte. It was dry and we didn't bother to finish it. We only got the Sacher torte because we felt like we should try it since we were in the Sacher Hotel, but the other desserts on the menu may be better but the translations weren't great so we weren't sure about trying them.
