Ohne Reservation bekamen wir einen schönen Tisch in einer Sitznische. Erst waren sich Kellner und Chef de Service oder Chefchef nicht einig, wir bekamen dann den schönen Platz, Danke dafür : Bedienung sehr aufmerksam, freundlich, nicht aufdringlich. Essen war hervorragend, wir hatten den Wolfsbarsch mit Tagliatelle und wildem Brokkoli. Echt gut gekocht, Fischkruste und Brokkoli minim zu salzig, aber gemeckert auf höchstem Niveau. Alles top sauber und ordentlich, gutes Bier natürlich und leckeren Kaffee. Mitarbeitende immer auf Achse, gutes Auge auf beinahe leere Gläser. Echt kompetent Leute, wir freuen uns auf unseren nächsten Besuch bei euch und empfehlen euch weiter
War heute mit einer Freundin zum 1.Mal im Restaurant beim Hackl und wir sind absolut begeistert. Der Service, sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und kompetent. Die Speisen wir hatten Zander und Wiener Schnitzel) exzellent zubereitet. Den Kaffee und Cappuccino gab 's sogar aufs Haus weil der sehr sympathische Service-Mitarbeiter mitbekommen hatte,dass meine Freundin heute Geburtstag hat. In diesem ansprechenden Ambiente ist man gerne Gast und kommt auch gerne wieder. ...und by the way,: es stimmt auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch beim Hackl
Beautifully furnished restaurant (including the toilets) in a modern Black Forest style . Service staff VERY friendly, motivated, attentive and courteous! Delicious Baden cuisine (which is still reasonably priced... and not outrageously overpriced, as is unfortunately becoming more and more common). The wine selection is also (for me en taste) good.....and even the espresso after the meal is impressive. Overall great impression! We 've been there twice so far... and will definitely come back. Many thanks to the entire team!
We had the pleasure of experiencing the Black Forest at the Rothaus At the Hackl Restaurant and were completely thrilled. The food was excellent tasted great, with fresh ingredients and lovingly prepared. I would particularly like to highlight Yassir's friendly and attentive service. He was not only extremely helpful, but also efficient and always with a smile. His excellent service made the evening even more enjoyable. An all round successful experience – we would love to come back!

My partner and I spontaneously went to Freiburg for a few days and the landlord of our holiday apartment recommended this restaurant to us. We reserved a table in the evening and were totally thrilled. Firstly, the staff is really nice and accommodating and secondly, the food and ambience are great. We thought it was so great that we made another reservation for the evening the following day and everything was great again. For that reason alone we will visit Freiburg again.
Surprisingly quiet, very friendly, and excellent food! I almost pulled a star because the vegan choices were NOT enough food to fill up and I ordered more food then and still left hungry! I put the star back because I am so so thankful for vegan choices in a traditional restaurant so we all have something we enjoy!! The food, vegan and meat was VERY good quality, yummy yummy!!
Very good food, very nice ambience, great staff who exude calm, always friendly with a smile. They are never hectic, even when there is a lot going on, and are always very attentive. Pure feel-good experience. Huge praise to the kitchen, the service and reception teams. I've eaten there several times. I can recommend it 100%. It's really worth it. Annette
This place is a must when visiting Freiburg! Local cuisine with reasonable prices, nice atmosphere and perfect central location! Potato cream soup with truffles was mind blowing
