We arrived at the hotel in the wrong door but the young lady couldn’t have been more friendly and personally showed us through and even took us a different way as it was raining. She was so lovely! Then we were met by Isaac, and he and the rest of the waiting staff were 5* professional, knowledgeable, friendly, they were faultless. The food was beautiful, full of flavour and worth every penny . We have eaten at lots of fine dining and Michelin over the years and this was definitely up there . So much so that we are returning this evening !
Stayed in the pavilion suite for 3 nights during June. The room was great, really nicely decorated had everything we needed. Was a little bit hot, but that was managed in the evenings with the Dyson fan. The staff were fantastic, couldn't have been more helpful and polite. Also, arguably the most dog friendly hotel we've stayed in. Even in the restaurant they were accommodating of our dog.
One of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a hotel. The staff were extremely attentive and helpful. By day two you feel like the manor is your home. The place itself is gorgeous, the decor is elegant and every detail is impeccable. Would 100% recommend staying here, the customer service is unmatched and the ambiance is so calm.

Nicely surprised to be welcomed in French as French speaking guests. Quality of dinner and meal presentation were highly appreciated, perceived close to a one star Michelin. We discovered very interesting grapes types and enjoyed amazing wines. We spent a lovely evening at the Rothay Manor
We had a fabulous 2 night beak here with our cockapoo. Extremely dog friendly, the staff were super helpful and the food was incredible. Ambleside is great to walk through with some great shops.
We stayed here and our room was very good. We ate at the restaurant twice and the food is superb. The breakfast very good and the staff excellent
It was a great experience at Rothay. I never felt so special before except a professional candle light dinner in Chandigarh organised by Celvi.

We wanted a special meal for a celebration and were thrilled by the food and experience. Totally delicious! We'll be back.
