The food. Full stop. What an unexpected treat in a city full of fabulous restaurants. Rouge Do is in an up-and-coming district of Paris easily reached on the Metro or by RATP and it’s,location shouldn’t deter you. We made reservations by email and it was apparent by the quick response we would be welcomed into a family business and they cared about our visit. We arrived early for our reservation but were assured our table was available despite the place being packed with the lunch time crowd. What a surprise! In this small canteen without pretention nestled on St. Martha’s street, one discovers a patron in the heart who offers simple and honest cuisine, faithful to its roots and places the ingredient in the heart of the dish. cooked with love, served with good humor and generosity, we devour the kho thit as a "great mother" the bedding granite, or the melting coconut tapioca beads that reconcile us with this dessert originally so boring. We don’t finish enjoying each other while sympathizing with the team. definitively one of these little hidden beads whose borough has the secret.
A good atmosphere in this little restaurant and a hairy chef! Chicken intake: very good crispy and taste even if I was surprised not to have salad and herbs. We took 2 different dishes (including an incredible crispy chicken) with a varied and tasty but similar trim on both. I'd prefer more identity on every dish. Tapioca dessert was good but I find that beads would deserve a little less cooking to bring out their texture more. Very good overall experience and flavors to fall. I'll come back to test other dishes!
