american style very close. we stayed on a short trip in kassel and wanted to quiet our hunger with a delicious “Sparerib” -in memory of our last USA holiday. in our hotel in the district bad wilhelmshöhe we then saw an attractive advertising, from the “American restaurant route 66”, which was also not far from the hotel. So we then drove with the tram of line 1 until the stop „Kurhessen Therme“ and from there the approx. 600 meters to foot went to the restaurant. the “American restaurant route 66” is located directly at the “Kasseler-Tennisclub Wilhelmshöhe” in the mountain park wilhelmshöhe and also has a large beer garden. the restaurant itself is somewhat inconspicuous from the outside, b...
Just for fun, a group of us (3 Americans, 1 German, 1 Brit) went here for an evening meal yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The burgers were good and quite sizeable, my home fries were excellent and there is a good range of drinks available, including several different beers. The custom-burger option, enabling you to pick and choose your preferred style of burger, topping, sauces, sides etc. is a particularly good feature. The restaurant is bright and airy, situated in a salubrious part of Kassel with a view of the courts of the tennis club next door. The 3 young ladies who served us were friendly and efficient and all in all we had a very pleasant experience.
The food is good. The service varies depending on the day you go. Some days it is ok service, other days it is slow.The food is ok. It lacks in consistency. One day my burger and our wings we excellent and on another visit they were very average. The menu is authentic but as said fails to deliver. And the venue itself lacks any character... However given the lack of competition there is little alternatives if you want a supposed Diner.
We were there for a nice dinner and the food was really nice and the service as well. I had a burger in a bowl which was very tasty also the drinks are good well prepared. I would like to go back
