We were lucky enough to be guests at a friends wedding at Rowton Castle. It is one of the very best wedding venues I have been at. The location is extremely picturesque with many excellent photo opportunities. Inside it seems smaller than you might expect but has a nice intimate atmosphere. The staff and service were very good. I was particularly impressed with the food. I attended a wedding at this restaurant and was impressed by the beautiful venue and the helpful staff. The food was delicious, although as a gluten-free diner, my options were a bit different. The beef dinner was tasty, but the gluten-free dessert, which I believe was also vegan, was unfortunately not to my liking. The seeded bread roll served with my meal was not enjoyable, and I noticed a potential risk of cross-contamination with crumbs from others' bread. The canapés served after the ceremony were also lacking in quantity, with only three gluten-free options on a small slate tile. I stayed at Rowton Castle for one night, after passing by it many times on the way to Wales. The venue was absolutely beautiful and did not disappoint. We stayed in the Yockleton Superior 4 poster room, which was lovely. The reception staff were welcoming, the bar staff were great, and we had an amazing dinner. Our waiter, Josh, was a young man with excellent manners and was a credit to the company. We enjoyed a full English breakfast served by Josh before exploring Shrewsbury and having lunch before heading home. Have visited Rowton Castle a few times it has always been excellent. The food and service always 5* We came for our sons wedding this month. What a magical day from beginning to end. Such a glorious setting the gardens so beautiful. The wedding was inside as it looked like rain however it did not rain so we spent many hours outside in the wonderful setting. Everything was perfect the staff work hard to make sure that the day is perfect the ceremony the food and service were perfect. Thank you all so much for making this a truly memorable day. A beautiful dining room in a castle, what more could you ask for? Well throw in first class service and an exceptional meal.....this is an absolute gem! Highly recommended.....the rooms are beautifully decorated and we were glad that we had booked to stay over too. I would recommend the rib-eye steak, cooked to perfection, melt in the mouth and topped with a rich Shropshire blue sauce.....I can’t wait to come back.

We were lucky enough to attend the Castle for my niece's wedding. The hotel provided the wedding meal and it was superb! From the starter to the dessert, the meal was perfect. Every effort was made to accommodate the vegetarians, vegans and children. The staff cleared the tables and bought the next course with little fuss and ensured a seamless transition throughout the whole feast!

Lucky me to be invited for a birthday meal at this wonderful venue. The relaxed atmosphere made us want to stay all night. We were looked after well by the waiting staff and the whole meal was lovely. My thing is dessert and I wasn't let down here. Would come here every week if I could afford it. Perfect for a special treat.

My son and daughter in laws wedding took place here on 30 May 2018 and I can honestly say it was absolute perfection. The wedding took place in the grounds and was magical, the staff were excellent nothing was overlooked and accommodation was second to none. A lovely meal with friends in this quaint dining room.A quiet Friday night but the setting is beautiful in this wood panelled room. Food good, though meat perhaps a little bland but good value for money, good wine, attentive staff. Would certainly go back.

We attended a wedding at the castle where we had a three-course meal. The food was tasty and the service was very friendly. They did a great job accommodating all dietary restrictions.
