I ordered and paid for a take away meal for four people on a Saturday night and opted to collect the meal. I did this online well in advance of my collection time. The web site stated a 20 minute wait for collection from placing the order. At the time I chose for collection I arrived a few minutes late but the meal wasn’t ready. I was asked to take a seat in the restaurant which I think is off putting for the diners. There were several others waiting for meals and quite a lot of comings and going for take aways. We popped in for a quick meal on the way back from a day out and very glad we did. Place was fairly quiet for a Friday with most people coming in for takeaway. Food was delicious. All served hot, fresh and served on warm plates which is good to see. Pakora, lamb tikka starters and chilli garlic and korma main with garlic nan bread was all flawless. Service was friendly and effortless. Will be returning soon!!
The food is really good just a pity that lengthy waiting times are off putting. Our main courses did not arrive until we had been in for 105 minutes and we weren’t even asked if we wanted more drinks after our first order was taken. The restaurant said they were a chef down but if they can’t cope they should not fill up every table and continue to take takeaway orders. Really disappointing.
I had never been to or ordered food from this restaurant before, but was recommended by friends. However, I was not impressed. The chicken tikka was overly sweet and lacked any spice. I will not be ordering from them again, especially considering our order was over £40. We have found better and more affordable options elsewhere.

After experiencing a few disappointing meals at another Indian restaurant in Dunfermline, I decided to give the Royal Bengal a try. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The rice and bread were good, but the three different curries we ordered were poor. They lacked taste and depth of flavor, and were very watery.
This place used to be good, used to have good customer service. Had an issue with my order and phoned them and they were rude, called me a Karen at the end of the call as well. This was our go to indian but not anymore. Shrunk the portions and don’t look after the locals that always use them. Disappointed.
Eight GOM from DHS (1956) ate there today for lunch. They opened early to accommodate us, and we were all impressed with the quality value of the meals provided. The service was also excellent. I am sure we will be back in future.
Great meal. I had the Naga Chicken curry which was full of flavour and spicy hot. Garlic Naan was well made. Overall very enjoyable and well worth a visit.

Food delivered in record time, heard the door and thought no way is that the food already. Piping hot and delicious. Would 100% recommend
This is the top Indian restaurant in Fife. I have been dining here for more than 30 years and have yet to find a better place.
