Oh my god where do I start ? We arrived about 8.30 last night Friday and there were hardly any tables taken that should have told us everything ! We were shown to a table near the buffet and a dance floor. Dreadful plastic fake leather chairs in a bizarre salmon copper colour. Very confusing menu it said 4 buffets which we couldn’t figure out if four different buffet tables or menu options still don’t know the answer. The waitress pointed out our options dinner menu with a glass of wine drink or dinner menu with a bottle of wine. So we plumped for the one with one drink 25,90. We’ve been to several buffet Chinese restos The layout of the food was not only not very appealing but confusing. With a strange mix of things like potatoes gratin next to bbq ribs ! On my first serving I don’t think I finished any of my choices on my plate piquant salmon was tastlelesd anything except piquant ! , the prawns were mushy texture, pepper squid wasn’t seasoned and the gratin mussels were stone cold. My next plate wasn’t any more successful bbq ribs tasted boiled and flavorless, lemon chicken was hard and overcooked, fried rice was greasy and flavorless … caramel pork was possibly the only thing that was edible. Again another half eaten plate was collected by a server. Dessert wow fresh pineapple which was lovely … and have to say I wish I’d plumped for some more of the fresh fruit. Instead I took a tiny eclair mushy obv frozen , and a mini tiramisu I think but just tasteless . And just as we were about to leave, a guy gets into the dance floor just next to our table and starts singing some awful song really loud and we realise by the huge screens that a karaoke evening has started ! We discovered on paying it wasn’t 25,90 but over 28eu each as they 25 price didn’t apply on Fridays ! What power there is in small print … oh lord I think they charge you extra for the karaoke We return home both of us repeating ‘Never again and 28eu as well !!’ I hadn’t been home more than 20 mins when I was violently sick. And again in the night. My partner wasn’t sick but then didn’t have the mussels or prawns so perhaps they may have been the culprits. But if ever I needed another reason not to return me throwing up all night would have been it ! I don’t think I’ve been to a buffet Chinese resto as bad horrible food poor layout … or indeed any restaurant as bad ! Bizarre under seasoned tasteless food, horrible decor, confusing misleading pricing and karaoke Run run run away !
