I come here almost every day and today was the worst experience I've ever had. I'm giving it 2 stars because of their inability to manage rushes. I understand that certain days will have crazy traffic due to festivals and things like that. But today I waited 45 minutes in line to order my coffee and when I got to the front I asked how long it would take and they said an additional 20 minutes. I ended up leaving because I was late to an appointment. The line went by so slow because they weren't taking physical orders and only focusing on mobile orders. Why not just shut down the mobile orders for a while? Clearly they are overwhelmed with the number of mobile orders and when I checked the app...
ordered an oat chai in the marina district from the truck. This one was absolutely bitter. They wanted to explain to me that this was normal and that all you had to do was add sugar. although I wanted my chai without sugar, I went for it. The chai still tasted bitter afterwards and in my opinion was not edible. Then they wanted to explain to me that it was because of the spices. I took a sip and then returned the drink. It tasted awful. It was obvious that the black tea had been steeped for too long, which resulted in the bitter taste. I wasn't offered an alternative drink.

Philz specializes in coffee blends made from sustainably sourced green beans from around the world, and roasted in Oakland. Best known for their Mint Mojito, a refreshing iced coffee made with muddled fresh mint. The location on Polk street has amply indoor seating and a customized iconic San Francisco mural. Staff was extremely friendly, efficient, and outgoing, and even offered me a warm welcome to the neighborhood.
Great coffee with great service!!! Their coffee is very strong. I just like the fact that they have their own unique way of how to order. It is the whole new experience and it was really worth a wait! I had honey haze and it was so good!! We read through reviews before we went there but it wasn’t like what I read. Maybe we went there at the right timing I guess : Lucky us!!!

I really enjoy Philz and this location is no different. The attention to detail is great and everyone is always very nice and helpful. It is always packed but they move quickly because they always seemed to be staffed. Personally I'm all about the Jacob's Wonderbar but there's a lot of great roasts to try!

I waited 20 mins for my mocha only to find they thought I asked for iced mocha because they put ice cubes in my hot mocha.So communication needs be improved.I wonder if the coffee wait could have been better?
First time walking down Polk, and got a medium Iced Creamy Mint Mojito. Tastes great as always and my barista told me to let her know if it needed any adjustment.

30 mins to get a coffee when in-person. Absolutely ridiculous. Walked out without our coffee. They need to figure out capacity or not allow for orders.
Better than any Philz I’ve been to. Their coffee is just my liking. Great service from Bo.
