This was one of the best cafés that I've ever gone to the food was excellent and I loved it! The pub itself if fine however the parking is not free and although there must be a sign in the car park we didn’t see it and you don’t expect to pay for parking in a roadside pub. None of the pub staff mentioned it and there is nothing in the pub to show you or encourage you to pay so we ended up with a £60 fine for a lunch that wasn’t worth the extra money! The food was perfectly cooked, sharing board, with a mixed grill for myself and a sirloin for my wife. Lovely desserts, fantastic sticky toffee pudding, rounded off with a very good Irish Coffee (With Jameson's of course). The staff attentiveness was perfect, never felt rushed but never really waiting either. Really enjoyed tonight, thanks to the team at The Royal Oak. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
