I typically enjoy the American-style cuisine at this restaurant, but during my recent visit, I arrived just 35 minutes before closing time. To keep things simple, I ordered eggs, potatoes, and toast, understanding how busy it can get as they prepare to shut down for the night. I apologized to the staff for arriving so close to closing, but the girl at the counter merely acknowledged me without a warm greeting, mentioning that they were closing in half an hour but that I could still place my order. We were driving across Indiana and stopped at Fair Oaks farms based off of multiple recommendations. We were not happy at all with are experienced there they were out of biscuits at 10:30 on a Saturday morning. So we looked at reviews and decided to come to the Royal Oak. Everything was perfect we were waited on in a timely fashion the girls who worked there were polite and friendly and fast. Our food was very good tasty and at a reasonable price. My husband had the prime rib special and I had a 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy and a Belgian waffle. The Belgian waffle was terrific my husband tried some and agreed. I enjoyed my biscuits and gravy too.
The breakfast was enjoyable. The homemade biscuits were nice, and while the gravy could have been improved, it was still good. The pancakes and sausage were tasty as well. The waitstaff were friendly and attentive, making it a pleasant dining experience. Overall, a nice place to eat.
An oasis of delicious food and excellent service on our way home. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with our menu selections. I opted for the nacho cheese-covered cheeseburger, which was something I hadn’t encountered anywhere else. It was truly a delight!

The breakfast was delightful. The homemade cookies were good, but there was room for improvement; overall, they were still enjoyable. The pancakes and sausage were delicious. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. It’s a charming place.
An oasis of great food and great service on our way home. The staff was very friendly, and helpful with our menu choices. I chose the nacho cheese covered cheeseburger ? because it was something I hadn't seen anywhere. Truly a treat.
The food was good, depending on your choice. The Mexican soup was particularly tasty. Prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was nice. There’s an ice cream shop next door, but unfortunately, they didn’t accept card payments.
This restaurant is very modern and very clean. It had a very friendly wait staff and fast hot food as well. Loved it will come back again!
