Lovely hotel. I was here for a family party and it didn't disappoint. The room we were in was very comfortable and clean with drink making facilities as well as a small fridge. The bathroom was well designed and the shower was great. The party room was gorgeous and had a large outside balcony area with plenty of seating. The buffet was hot food with a choice of curry, rice, naan, chips, meat pie, hotpot or pizza which was all very generous portions and delicious. We paid extra for breakfast in the morning but it was £12 (per cooked breakfast) well spent as there was also cereals and fruit available although the full English was definitely enough. All the staff were very friendly and helpful....
Very close to Carnforth station, but the room was tiny, well stocked with tea, coffee and milk though. There was a little fridge in the room which was very handy. The room smelled strongly of dog and the window was screwed shut, very unpleasant especially as it was warm. There was no wardrobe and no drawers, just a rack with hooks and coat hangers on, it was all very cramped and unpleasant. For £95, excluding breakfast, was way overpriced. Just to add I booked directly with the hotel in April for my stay in September, so no booking agent was involved and booking that far in advance I would expect the best room in the hotel not the smelly dog room.
