Having used this cafe before and been told that it had been updated and remodeled I was really looking forward to visiting it again but what a disaster!! We sat down and managed to find a menu and found that many of the meals that used to be available where no longer on the menu and that it was now just soup and snacks. We decided to have some of the items but when we went to the counter to order we were told sorry we are not doing that today so we changed ou order and then we waited and waited and waited but eventually our snack arrived before the soup we said that we would like our soup first so the snack went back and, eventually, the soup arrived but it was leek and potato not the one on...

As locals, we have frequented this restaurant often but have been disappointed by the declining food quality. In our last three visits, we ordered bacon sandwiches. The first time, the food was good with three rashers of bacon on a fresh buttered bread roll. The second visit presented us with the same amount of bacon but on an unbuttered toasted brioche bun, which was overly sweet and unpleasant. On our third visit, we were served the same unsatisfactory toasted unbuttered sweet brioche bun with only two rashers of bacon. If the restaurant now exclusively serves bacon on a sweet brioche bun, they should make this clear on the menu as it does not align with the traditional expectations of a b...

conwy is an absolutely incredible reserve. we saw all kinds of birds of egrets, geese, ducks, swallows and even robins where you sat on my hand to eat. so enchanting. there were ponies all over that were beautiful. there are only too many to call. the round is great as it is about two miles circle. if it has sprinkled, can be a little muddy. close to the center are the way better and disabled/wheelchair friendly so they can see the smaller birds and a few of the skins. the skins are dotted all around the walk and great to watch the birds. there is a large parking space, disabled accessible. closes around 17 o'clock with a beautiful caffe that serves hot dips, tees and coffee. there are loos...

My husband and I visit RSPB Conwy almost fortnightly, despite living over an hour's drive away. The staff and volunteers are absolutely lovely and are very knowledgeable about local wildlife and habitats. The coffee shop is great and there are multiple hides around the reserve to view the pools where the birds congregate. Being right on the River Conwy and the edge of the Snowdonia mountains, the views from the reserve are spectacular, rain or shine.

£6 entry fee for adults and well worth it. The views across the Conwy valley are stunning. Plenty of wildlife on view when we went. We saw a couple of swans, the heron was flying around and landed just in front of the hide we were in. Had a pram with us and the path was great, a bit bumpy in places but nothing too bad. Cafe was only open for takeaway but as it was a lovely day that was not an issue.

A must see if you like nature. Many water birds visible from hides a short walk from the visitor centre. Flowers, butterflies, birds a plenty. Warm welcome from staff. Interesting displays of how the reserve was created. Will definitely return when we are in the area again.

visited here and made the 2 miles around the reserve, as well as stop at some of the skins. many different types of birds to see and very pleasant and well-known employees. also in the cafe for some ice-creams that were very favorable.
