UPDATE: this is so disappointing, Ruby Tuesday used to be one of my favorites(below is my old review . We went tonight. It took 2 hours for us to order, eat appetizer and meal. The waiters were complaining about how tired they were, that they didn't feel well, etc. one even complained about how busy they were (there was us and one other table with people at it... out of maybe 10? while we were there 2 different couples came in and were seated and left 20 minutes or so later when they were not helped at all. Our waitress Sam was more than awesome. Unfortunately she was pretty much doing everyone's jobs so she was spread very thin. Food tasted fine once it did come but I was worried about eati...
We had dinner to go and I was actually super impressed. I'm not a super big Ruby Tuesday fan but we had a gift card so gave it another try. We ordered the new Tot Totchos as an appetizer, the Triple Prime Colossal Burger and a regular Triple Prime Burger. The appetizer was awesome but tots covered with pretty much anything are wonderful! The burgers were really good, not the best I've ever had but the meat was really good quality and the patty was thick. We ordered it to go as mentioned so I can't speak for the service but the homesteads told me exactly where to go to pickup my food. Overall, I was impressed after being skeptical because of the other negative reviews.
Garden bar was very good tonight, lots of fresh veggies and fruit on it. Ordered chicken tenders (large) and fries and while the tenders were very good the fries were old and not a fresh as I would expect. Also asked for some hot sauce when our food came and I had to ask again for it and when it came the hot sauce was spoiled (strong vinegar taste and smell) and I was pretty much done. Also got a beer with a 2 head on it, asked for them to top that off and they complained about it. Do better guys! Try to have a good meal here, I wish more restaurants of this type would come to Sumter
I've been to a couple Ruby Tuesday's around the country and it can pretty much always be said that the food quality is the same between them all. But that's not why this location gets a 5 star. Their service was impeccable. Met by both the manager on duty and the waitress. They helped me find an outlet so I could knock out my work on my laptop and they both regularly checked up on me. Felt like a regular at a location I've never been to before. Keep up the good work!!!
