It’s…fine. Epitome of NY price gouging. $7 for a side of 3 tiny hashbrowns—$6 for half an avocado. Not unheard of for most of the brunch places in the area but we could have cooked a better meal at home. Instead we paid almost $100 for a mediocre brunch. The vibe is nice—exposed brick does that to a place. Also very inflexible for any substitutions, which made the overpriced sides sting even more (wouldn’t swap out my side of toast for a side of arugula—that would have cost another $7).
A beautiful local restaurant in Brooklyn. A little too expensive to justify, however. The ambience and service are fantastic and the food is decent, however it is significantly overpriced for the quality. All the basics are done very well, but when the simplest pasta is $27 after tax, it needs to be doing a little more and have a larger portion. Our group of 4 would love to come back but $240 for pastas, bread, and a bottle of wine is unsustainable.
This restaurant was fantastic. It had the cozy and warm atmosphere I was seeking, along with delicious food and drinks. Our server, John, was excellent and provided great recommendations. The bread was delicious, and the crudo was amazing. I ordered the portobello cream pasta special and loved it, while my partner enjoyed his rigatoni. Overall, this place is a hidden gem in the neighborhood, and I only wish I lived closer.
Great location. Got impromptu brunch on a fall day, sat outside, and it was perfect. I personally wasn't a fan of the menu. The food was fine, nothing great. Small portion sizes for a restaurant (more like what you would serve yourself at home) but the prices seemed high. Difficult to get attention from the server, maybe because we were outside. I've been in Rucola multiple times the atmosphere, service, and the vibes are all great. The lunch food is great for the price but feels a little flat and dry i would highly recommend experimenting with the menu a little bit and working on really nailing the sandwiches.

Cute place. Food was good, but nothing out of this world. It's very small in there, hardly any room to move. Spent 40 dollars on lunch for a salad and sandwich with just water.
