we were here with a smaller group at the end of the year and had reserved. the potato soup with stone mushrooms tasted fad and was too thin, since after my taste insufficient kartoffels had been used. the calf roast was tender, however, the sauce was tastefully tarried with binding agent (potato flour or the like). dessert ok and also from the presentation for the auge i.O. the gaststube was overloaded with deko and before the house entrance the gullies had passed over hours before the house, so that it was very unpleasant after vombrochen roch. instead of using a covering fragrance in the outside region, the inlet region had only been sprayed with water.

we have reserved on a Sunday afternoon and were sent to the first floor where the tables were very tastefully decorated. each in another color with fabric napkins and beautiful seasonal matching tastes. which disturbed me that it was very tightly chaired. the service was so lal, I would have wished to smile at each other. the food - excellent! lamb was super spiced and butterfly, carving chess roasted and exactly right and the swirling roast roasted roasted as desired medium with a lot of crispy wobble ring top. But I missed the supplemental salad. a very pleasant Sunday afternoon with the family.

the restaurant is a bit off but only 100 m from the main square of the city. it is located on a quite small square and offers enough seating outside on the square that is locked for most traffic and offers a few trees for shade. eating is somewhat more expensive than in other restaurants, but the quality, the friendly service (with active participation of the owners) and the environment make this more than bet. whenever I'm in amberg, I'm going there.

in the months where you can dine outside and enjoy the proximity to the city's air museum, I return to this Bavarian restaurant! the food is prepared on order with a selection to satisfy the appetit on fresh fish or meat! if our group of about 10 people is looking for a special event or birthday, we choose this place next to the vils! we were in the next room for the Communion. absolutely good food, at reasonable price. reservation would be sensible, as always well filled. the beer garden in summer invites you to stay.
