During a visit to Ennis to look at a car, my family and I were in search of a local dining experience. After receiving unanimous recommendations for the Ruston Cattle Company from the dealership staff, we decided to give it a try. Despite living in the heart of DFW and Ennis being quite a distance away, almost what we'd consider countryside, our journey was well rewarded.Upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately struck by the authentic Texas atmosphere that resonated throughout the place. Service was excellent. It smells, feels and looks like a place with a great steak and it in fact does serve a great steak. It ain't cheap but it was very good. We had the baked chicken with the mashed potatoes and carrots and also the sirloin and Smoked Mac. Not a single bad bite. And I will be dreaming about that Mac and cheese for days!

Quality of beef was excellent, my only complaint was there was excess char on a medium rare steak. The sides were excellent along with the salads. Really solid place. Little to pricey to go back. Had the Waygu New York strip. Perfect temp cook, but not the bang I've had from Waygu in the past. Overall experience was made by our server, Savannah was spot on, checked in, but let us enjoy our time, great personality. Reserva una mesa ahora

Steaks and baked potato were cold. I could not eat them. Put them in a to go box to take home. On top of all that it was for my birthday. Only typing this cause I was asked or I wouldn't have commented. The burnt ends were great though.

AMAZING! Justin Rustin is the MAN! AWESOME good, great atmosphere, live bands and THE BEST FOOD YOU WILL EVER EAT! Be sure to get the beef rib as an appetizer! It's the BEST meat you will EVER put in your mouth!-Marc with a C! THATS ME!

The food was very good and the service was very good. I've eaten here several times and have never had a bad experience. Not the best steakhouse ever, though, and for the price, I'd rather eat at Saltgrass.
