A very different take on BBQ than some of the more traditional places around the area. It feels like a nice corner low key place and does have ample parking available. Service was friendly and attentive. We started with the tuna tartare, which was fresh and well seasoned. They have an option for various meats and sides, so we went with the brisket, kimchi dirty rice and the grits. The brisket was very good- not as good as Monk's, but still a great bite. The kimchi dirty rice was tasty without being overly spicy. The grits were the highlight for me- I havent had grits that good this far north in a long time. Overall an excellent meal!
Ruthie's All Day is an amazing neoclassical diner. The service was amazing, from our hostess, which checked on us several times while we waited on a table(only a 20 minute wait on a Super Busy Sunday, another local restaurant had a 2 hour wait bycomparison) to Joe our server who was helpful, friendly, quick we had a great experience. Food was top quality. Even the tablesetting was polished and upscale, and with all those things the price was even better. Great value for your money. If you are inArlington and want great food and service at a reasonable price this place is for you.
Sometimes restaurants just do everything right and Ruthies fits into that category. Nice meat? Yes very flavorful. Outstanding sides? Yes and the mac and cheese really hits on all cylinders. The Brussels also are addicting. All this comes at a reasonableprice by Washington standards. Parking and just getting a seat at the restaurant can sometimes be a challenge but it is worthit.
The two things here that can be made vegan (a burger and salad) are both pretty good. Not amazing but fine. A few other dishes seem like they could be made vegan but unfortunately it is not possible at this time. I do appreciate that they offer vegan option, I just wish they had a couple of sides that could be made vegan or something
