Had Christmas dinner here before heading out to see lights. This was our first outing to Ruth’s Chris post pandemic so maybe our expectations were high…no…that’s not it, RC just missed the mark. Fabulous bartender saved the day or maybe getting us tipsy so we wouldn’t notice the shoddy service. lol. The good: filet cooked to perfection and an amazing bread pudding. Then there were the cocktails I had a Dirty Goose Martini and Ruth’s Manhattan double yum. The bad: I’m sure she tried her best but perhaps subconsciously Haley did not want to work on Christmas or maybe she’s new…. Either way, I ordered a wedge salad w/ blue cheese dressing and was served a quarter head of lettuce with dry blue cheese no dressing, no bacon, just lettuce and cheese. When we finally got Haley’s attention to let her know, she said she’d go in the kitchen and get me bacon and dressing. 5 minutes later she came back to tell me there was no bacon at all on property. Seriously? Seems like a detail to know. So I ordered a salad that essentially bacon is the only other item and no one bothered to tell the serves…not when order submitted…not when lettuce on a plate was taken and served…everyone figured I WANTED to pay $16 for lettuce? lol umm no…I don’t. I wasn’t even offered an alternative or discount. But it gets better…I had also ordered as one of my sides Brussel sprouts with honey and bacon…you see where I am going with this? Did Haley’s ask about my brussel sprouts nope and now nowhere to be found. I did manage to get her attention through another server before our food arrived. I asked her to cancel the Brussel sprouts (as there’s no bacon) and to add lobster Mac n cheese. Haley said I’m on it. So our food arrives: crab cakes filet and shrimp creamed spinach garlic mashed potatoes lobster Mac n cheese and Brussel sprouts no bacon
