I ordered the trottole pasta, which was advertised on the menu with scallion, Calabrian peppers, and miso. After considering a few options, the waitress suggested this dish as one of her favorites, describing it as having a spicy lemon wine sauce. So, I was surprised when my meal arrived and turned out to be a tomato-based pasta that tasted like Campbell's soup, with only a slight hint of spice. The food was outstanding—I highly recommend the Brussels sprouts! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the ambiance was delightful. It was slightly cold inside, and I would have appreciated a few more choices on the menu, although I realize that having a smaller menu can have its advantages. I was dining with three other people, and we all noticed that our dishes had at least a mild kick to them, even though the menu didn’t specify any spice levels. I personally enjoy spicy food, so it suited my taste, but if you're sensitive to spice, I suggest checking in with them first!
I had a wonderful dining experience at Rye last night. Our waitress was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and did an excellent job explaining the different dishes, answering all of our questions. Be sure to try the milk buns—they're absolutely essential! We sampled two pasta dishes and the trout, and all three were delightful. The restaurant boasts a lovely, intimate atmosphere. I highly recommend Rye for both dinner and brunch.
I had a wonderful experience at a weekend brunch here. The service was excellent since the restaurant was not very busy, and we appreciated being seated in a semi-private area where we could reminisce and enjoy ourselves without being too disruptive. The menu offered a nice variety, ranging from breakfast sandwiches to pancakes and lunch entrées. Overall, I would rate the food 4, the service 4, and the atmosphere 4.

I understand that Dining under the Stars can get busy, but this level of neglect feels unacceptable. Additionally, the manager's indifference was not what I would expect from a service-oriented establishment.
On a positive note, the food that eventually arrived was very good, but the overall experience has left me unwilling to dine here again, and I would advise others to think twice before visiting.
The food was amazing, and the ambiance had a delightful coziness to it. The staff were very welcoming, and the prices were quite fair. We particularly loved the smaller plates, which made sharing a breeze, and everything we tried was delicious. We ordered the chicken pot pie, crispy potatoes, and two different types of pasta, and it was more than enough for the two of us.
The food was wonderful, but the service was exceptionally slow. As an added frustration, we were charged a mandatory gratuity for our group of seven at the end of the meal. We were there for brunch, and by the time the last person received their meal, most of us had already finished eating. We didn’t even receive an apology for the delay.
The ambiance is wonderful, the food is delightful, and the staff is very welcoming. My boyfriend was unsure about trying a new restaurant, but after we dined there, he couldn't stop talking about how much he enjoyed it and declared it his new favorite place for dinner. The prices are quite affordable, and it's bring your own beverage!
