Look no further for fresh, authentic and mouth watering sushi! They carry several different selection of fresh fish from Japan. All very carefully selected and served. The nigiris I tried were on par with those served in Michelin star restaurants. Don?t pay attention to bad reviews that say the portions are small, this is how authentic sushi (nigiri and sashimi should be. You are not supposed to eat a big chunk of rice with mediocre quality fish on top as they serve in ordinary sushi joints. It is the quality of the fish, not the size of the rice : In fact, smaller the rice, the better. This place definitely deserves 5 stars for the quality of the food and the service.
I?m not sushi person, but this place definitely eliminates my bias in raw seafood!!! It?s a very small store with only 12 seats on CA-82. There are a few street parking spots in the front and at back as well. We were lucky when we arrived there on Saturday afternoon that there was no line. We ordered a combination omakase coming with 10 pieces of nigiri and a dessert at end. The sushi are very fresh and amazing. I don?t even need to dip sushi in soy sauce. Absolutely a hidden gem in San Carlos area.
I don't care how her sushi tastes. If they cannot produce in a reasonable time, there is a serious problem with their kitchen. I ordered over Uber Eats before the time (35 minutes). App said the order was ready for pickup. I have to wait outside for another 20-30 minutes. To be honest, I gave up. I just know I'm just wandering around the store while I'm waiting inexorably. It wasn't even me. 4 other people sat outside for their pickups. Will not return with this degree of incompetence.
