This restaurant is quite busy even at 2 pm. However, the service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. They seated us quickly and got our drinks within minutes. They took our orders and answered our questions courteously. We ordered their frog legs congee. The congee was silky smooth. The frog legs with shredded ginger were tender and flavorful. The Beef HoFun was well done; the work he, the sauce, the fresh HoFun, the scallions, and bean sprout all add to the dish. Unfortunately, it was a tad too greasy for me.The stuffed peppers were done on order. The peppers and the stuffing of shrimps came out just right; enough umame and spiciness, plus the texture of the peppers with the grounded shrim...

The dim sum at this restaurant is average, but the service and attitude of the staff are extremely terrible. They are unfriendly and rude, from the lady with short red hair who appears to be the boss, to the older male waiters. Despite making a reservation for 11am, we were not seated until 12pm. Instead of placing utensils on the table, one waiter threw them at us, displaying a level of rudeness that was unacceptable. When asking questions, the staff responded by yelling and belittling us, a behavior that was not isolated to our table but observed by several families that day. Additionally, the restaurant was disorganized and unclean, with dirty table covers, chairs, and tea cups/plates. It...
The owner insisted that I have to pay a mandatory 15% tips, saying that that is not up to me. Hell, it is up to me, and I don’t like people dictate/threaten what I must do. I thought bullying and intimidation are no longer acceptable social behaviors. The owner is a Karen 死八婆。 Never go there again. I wonder why there are so many Chinese Karen’s 死八婆 on Noriega Street. I saw a young woman working in Cheung Hing 祥興 yelling at a 70+ years old man over a ten cents bag, and he was just politely asking. I don’t go there, even though I wasn’t the victim. There are other examples. Why? Any why doing any business with Chinese almost always involved some kinds of hostility against you; I thoug...
the food and preparation are well done and a throwback to those of us born in the 50 60's, Cantonese fare ... definitely take my elders and families there for celebrations and the such; the thorny subject as with many restaurants is service or a lack thereof post pandemic ... the management is on the front line as workers are in need of and until then, mgmt is out of it league as to equitique table to customer is absent, distracted and .....or .... so knowning that if you dine in be advised, or if takeout you will bypass the average service; however the food is good you make the call! The food was decent, my mom enjoyed it and my wife loves the dim sum at this restaurant. I was prepared to leave a $10 tip in cash for our $42 meal, but the cashier circled the 15% tip option and charged it to my credit card. I assume he didn't see the $10 bill I had left on the table, so I retrieved it. I remember reading a review where they did something similar, but on a larger bill. It was the day before Mother's Day, so the restaurant was busy, but not so busy that they needed to automatically charge a 15% gratuity.
The dim sum at this restaurant was delicious with a good variety. However, the Oolong Chinese tea we ordered lacked a strong tea flavor, which is important when eating dim sum. Despite this, overall the restaurant is good and I would recommend it to friends. Food: 4/5.
S&T Hong Kong Seafood Restaurant offers excellent service, and they are refreshingly honest about the quality of their food. They actually advise you on what not to order if it's not up to par, which is quite impressive!
Be careful, they decided my tip was not enough and added another $10.00 to to my card. Not worth driving up to dispute the charge since i'm from the south bay. Reserva una mesa ahora
