I work close by and had never been to this restaurant until today. A colleague always brings dishes from here to work, and that's when I first tasted the food and fell in love with it. Today, I decided to try it for myself. I ordered the mango chicken curry with rice, a side salad, and 2 sambusas, along with a sparkling grapefruit drink. The food was incredibly delicious. I couldn't take a picture because I devoured it too quickly, but I will next time. The grapefruit drink was not to my liking as it lacked sugar. Overall, I love this place! After eating here, I have no desire to leave my job for another city. We'll see what happens.
The food at this restaurant is not good and I would not recommend it. Salim Ahmed Said, 33, from Plymouth, Minnesota, has been charged with various crimes including wire fraud, federal programs bribery, and money laundering. Said was the owner and operator of Safari Restaurant, which unlawfully received over $16 million in funds from the Federal Child Nutrition Program.
I first tried Safari at the Festival of Nations and hoped that they had a year-round presence. Score! The wraps are the shining star for me- especially the beef one. I have enjoyed the camel burger and rice bowls- they have generous portions, and everything is really fresh.
I recently purchased lunch from Safari and had a great experience. The customer service was top-notch and the food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the camel burger and the spicy chicken with rice.

The chef himself recommended a camel burger with mango juice, and sambusa, a Somali pastry. The staff were very friendly and kind, and the meal was delicious. I highly recommend!
Yummy and affordable! We loved the safari bowl (huge portion) and camel burger and so did our toddler. The chai ...we'll be back for that!! The customer service was also great.
Came for the Camel burger but they were out so the owner recommended the Camel Stew. Best meal I’ve had in Minnesota. Will be back again.
Food is normally great, however they don't have any of their regular items right now. Its been months. Huge disappointment.
