Nasu Dengaku baked eggplant in Miso and sesame is amazing.
The Entre outshine the Mains and we find we always order a multitude of entre and never get to mains because you need to leave room for some Salmon Ngiri and Prawn Ngiri at least.

This place is close for us, so we go here often. We are greeted at the door with a smile and the waitress directs us to a table. The restaurant is normally pretty quiet, but always quite crowded. I glance at the menu, and order the same thing- the terryaki bento box. It comes with chicken, beef and fish terryaki with a side of miso soup and white rice. The beef is always extremely soft, and the terryaki sauce is flavourful. The fish is lightly battered and served with a japanese mayonnaise which is creamy and smooth. The chicken is tender and tasty with the tangy sauce and peanutty noodles.
came for a few weeks dinner for two and it was very quiet (only other tables). started with the endamame (golden missing salt), the spinnenrolle sushi (ordinary), tori karaage (a bit burned) the nasu dengaku aubergine, which was tasty. agedashi tofu was forgettable, but the teriyaki fish was beautiful. Overall, eating was not bad, but it was simply not great or unforgettable. the restaurant was beautiful and the personal seemed friendly enough, but overall only a common experience.

Oh my god best Japanese food I've ever had, personal favourite is the teriyaki chicken with extra sauce and an entree of Gyoza. Probably the nicest teriyaki chicken I've had in my life, got it four years ago been going back for it ever since. Would strongly recommend this place to anyone going into Claremont. For a cheap deal most of the take away lunch menu is 50% off
Waited 40 mins for a simply lunch take away for 2 as picture attached which doesn's even take 10 minutes to make, what a joke.
been advised 15 mins wait then extra 5 mins.... and ended up 40 mins wait .......
will never go back again !!!!!!

best Japanese in perth. if you eat in I recommend the Bento box. very high quality authentic Japanese cuisine. the service is beautiful. also the lunch breaks are great.
Really good place. but it might be closed now. As at April 2017 their answering machine says they are closed indefinitely. Lets hope it does not die completely.
