STAR IS AN ANGEL, everyone at that store is but today she happened to be outside when I walked out of the store in a hurry and accidentally dropped a bottle of Kambocha with glass everywhere. I was ready to just pick it up and leave but she made sure to guide me back inside to pick another bottle to replace it for free. That was the kindest thing ever. I had a racist and homophobic experience from Mike the pharmacy manager that always wears the mask right under his nose. I was there picking up my prescription and it was the third time I was showing up because they partially filled twice and they told me it wasn 't ready and I expressed that I received a text about the medication being ready as I always do and he said you 're lying are you kidding? Who are you to call me a liar? When I expressed how insulting it was for him to call me a liar he then went ahead to threaten me about not filling any future medications. This is the worst Safeway I’ve ever encountered! I had to use their pharmacy for a prescription, and when I called to have it filled, no one would pick up. Each time they answered, they would leave me on hold for 30 minutes, only to hang up on me not once, but three times! As a result, I had to drive 45 minutes to a different pharmacy just to get my medication. It was really important, so I was very disappointed that this location couldn't compare to the Safeway in Tahoe. My advice: save your time and avoid this place!
Seriously horrific customer service. Cashier was super huffy and snapped at us when asking to empty our hand basket though there was no sign telling us to beforehand. Then proceeded to have an attitude the entirety of checking our food out. Then as we walked away rolled her eyes at us to the courtesy clerk. Would not recommend coming here if you're looking for good experience customer service wise. One of the worst safeways you could possibly go to, would suggest going to Belair up the road instead.

I keep coming back to this place because it’s much nicer than the Safeway on Johnson Blvd. However, I had a negative experience with a worker named Tamara, who came across as quite arrogant. If she doesn’t enjoy interacting with customers, she might be better suited for a back-of-house position. On the positive side, the rest of the staff are very nice and friendly.
How about enforcing the mask mandate? Far too many people (mostly redneck locals) are allowed to prance around the store completely maskless. Your political beliefs are insignificant to me; if your near me not wearing a mask, rest assured you will walk away from the confrontation feeling very much like the minuscule hick that you are.
I think her name was terrible. Not only did she now know what her job was, her mistakes cost me a lot of time. It turned out she didn't know what she was doing and was wasting a day. Not for a long time with another safeway.
I am only giving this store a 5 star review to raise their average. Far too many snowflakes gave this store 1 star for insignificant personal reasons.

One of the Best cheesecakes I've ever had. Sold in Safeway bakery I definitely recommend, just make sure you check dates and it's fresh.
I ordered a turkey sandwich, but it arrived without any turkey. Seriously. They even placed the blame on me!
