I ordered takeout on Saturday night, and overall, I was really impressed. The chicken tikka was spot on and cooked perfectly, and the balti sauce it came in was absolutely delicious—I could have happily eaten just that! The rice was also well-prepared, and the Bombay potatoes were flavorful and tasty. Although delivery took a bit longer than initially promised, it was still under an hour for a Saturday night. They did send a text ahead of time to let me know it would be a little late. All in all, it was a lovely takeaway experience, and I will definitely be returning!
This restaurant offers consistently excellent food and service. I’ve been ordering from them for 5-6 years and have never experienced a bad meal or service, nor have I ever received the wrong order. Some of my favorites include chicken jalfrezi, chili strips, garlic naan, mushroom rice, and aubergine (brinjal) bhaji. A tip: it's better to order directly rather than through a third-party service, as the food can arrive cold when they make multiple deliveries at once. They get extremely busy on weekends, so be sure to place your order early.
I was initially concerned about going to this restaurant because I thought it was located on a hill and there wouldn’t be many people there, but the situation turned out to be quite different. Recently, our favorite dishes were re-ordered, and tonight we enjoyed them once again. The yams were absolutely delicious, and the barjis were perfectly fresh and had a delightful texture. Everything we had tasted fresh and flavorful. Honestly, I can't get enough of this place!
The food was delightful, with great taste and texture. It was a bit heavy on the onions, but since I enjoy onions, that suited me perfectly. The preparation took some time, but overall, I was pleased with my experience here. I would definitely stop by for a bite again if I’m in the area and feeling hungry. I’ve lived in Langhamwood for 23 years and have tried every curry place around, but since Saffron opened 12 or 13 years ago, I haven’t ordered from anywhere else. I don’t go there often, but whenever I do, I notice that the prices on the old menu are still the same, which is great. Although my Madras was a little oily tonight, it was still very nice. Keep up the good work!
