First time ordering from here last night, didn't look at the reviews first but wish we had. We had free onion bhajis and these were cold, the starter had way too much oil (mix starter) and paste on the food. We then went on to the curries one balti and one bhuna both of these had a lot of oil sitting on top, the rice was just like mush, chips were actually nice, came to eat the curry it was tasteless and didn't taste how they should for the curries we had no spices etc, they felt watered down. Definitely wouldn't eat here again..
We were a large group of friends visiting Shropshire who had been recommended Saffron. We were not disappointed. From the moment we stepped into the take away we were greeted by friendly staff who not only helped us make some great choices but also served us tea and biscuits while we waited! Later, when we tucked into our food back at the hotel, the combination of taste, aroma and real quality in the way the dishes were crafted led to a totally satisfying experience. We would definitely recommend Saffron.
For the last few years the saffron has become my go to place for a quality Indian takeaway. Today was a long working day and I collected a good range of dishes. All the staff were pleasant and were proud of their work. Each dish had a distinct flavour and the quantity of meat was greater than most other establishments. I have never had a bad dish from the saffron and look forward to my next visit
I ordered a birthday tea at 6:45pm, but after numerous phone calls, I finally arrived at 8:30pm to discover that half of my order was missing. It seemed they couldn't accurately read or fulfill the order, but were very prompt in taking my money. I will be disputing the charge on my bank card as the food was not delivered correctly. Their excuse of a system error doesn't seem believable.

What has become a regular Saturday night takeaway from here we are never disappointed. The food arrives on time (mostly) and good quality in terms of taste and portion size. Although this week we didn't receive the complimentary onion bhaji s as advertised for meals over £15. 1st time this has happened.
Yesterday, I ordered takeout from this restaurant but unfortunately, my order never arrived. Despite trying to contact them multiple times, no one answered the phone. Additionally, the restaurant had already taken my money. Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience.
We used to always order takeout from Saffron, but it seems they have changed ownership. The quality has significantly dropped as there was hardly any meat in the biryani. We were very disappointed.
Dont order on line and pay....as they take money but are closed. Trying to get my money back. Checked online today and still has web site and menu to order from.
