Easily made reservations and received confirmation of it. The reminder was nice and not intrusive. Host was a little overwhelmed and needed a moment to find my reservation. Dining area was cute with nice touches. The French writing is not in a French style and annoyingly got smaller in size as the writer penned. I did not enjoy the nearness to several tables. I don't understand the hype for this place at all. The food was quite mediocre... Everything was over seasoned and the menu was misleading. The zucchini pancakes were actually crispy and fried. Had it specified that I would have opted for something else. Also, the online menu is outdated both in terms of offerings and prices. Lemon creme brulee, the main reason I wanted to try this place, was nowhere to be found. They had the standard run of the mill version which I didn't want. Sage Bistro was absolutely amazing. My aunt came to visit and dined there for lunch on Thursday, then returned throughout the weekend. She couldn't stop raving about how fantastic her fish dish was and how excellent the staff treated her. So, six other family members and I decided to visit on Monday at 4:30 p.m. The restaurant was mostly empty, and the service was exceptional. The food was incredible—if you enjoy escargot, you have to try it; the fish tacos were delicious, and the beef tartare was fantastic as well. Even the bread was impressive! Enjoyed a menu special of beef bourguignon risotto. Meat was plentiful, piping hot, cooked to perfection with the perfect flavor and texture; accompanying risotto chock full of veggies and cheese extremely tasty. Another night I got chicken paillard; tender, hot off the grill chicken topped with perfectly dressed microgreens, apples, walnuts, celery, and the most satisfying blue cheese. Its not quite 5 stars, but a 4.5. Its a nice place, they have a menu I wish we can see more frequently on Long Island. French food that gives you lots of variety. We enjoyed a cheese plate and a beet salad to start. The filet sliders are tasty and the pecan chicken came on a bed of purred squash and leeks, it was quite tasty. Good service that felt perfectly timed at every course. Very good and would come back.

Pleasant French eatery. The decor is lovely and the staff is attentive and friendly. The escargot and canard a L’Orange are my personal favorites on the menu however my party also enjoyed the French onion soup, beef bourguignon and steak fries all classic French dishes) stop by for an experience and prepare to be pampered Monsieur

Early dinner on a Sunday. We enjoyed grilled calamari appetizer but the raw clams were not fresh. We enjoyed the shrimp and scallop fricassee but the lobster roll was not traditional, swimming in aoili sauce was not a good match. Cocktails were good. No dessert.

My NEW FAVORITE LOCAL SPOT!!! We live in Woodbury and just had the chance to revisit Sage after quite a while! The food was delicious, and the wait staff were fantastic! I’m definitely excited to go back!
