As soon as i walked in, i saw no asians in sight. I have a feeling this pho place is not real authentic. I had a pho combination and barely any meats in it. The rare beefs has foul odor. The broth was ok but stated “noMsg” but the broth uses fish sauce in it and fish sauce has msg in it. Very misleading. The broth notes were not there like most authentic pho restaurants. I had better pho and this was not one of them. The service was quick and nice but the pho authentic was lacking. Pho should be hitting in your face as soon as you walked through the door. The pho smelled was faint. Not up to my pho broth par. Not authentic and I figured why hardly asians go there. It is more to american tast...
Place is good, great location, but I have had better Vietnamese. Tofu spring rolls were tasty, but the grilled shrimp vermicelli lacked flavor (I typically don’t add fish sauce to my plates but had to this time). Presentation on point, and friendly servers. Restaurant was not full but not empty— a little awkward having to ask for my check twice and then having to wait for them to come get payment; had to go grab server after a while and paid standing by the kitchen access. No biggie though. I might keep exploring the area for Vietnamese options, but would come back for a second bite. Clean restrooms.PS: They don’t offer Tofu vermicelli hence the minus 1 star.
We stopped by on our way home from Virginia Beach. The food was ok, not great. I was disappointed that the rice dish special (com tam dac biet) was served with two pieces of meat on a skewer but the rice with porkshop (com suon) was the order with the porkchop. The special felt like a downgrade to me. Overall wasn't bad but I would look elsewhere next time I'm in VB.
