Parking is available on the street and there are metered spots for two hours. The outdoor seating is cozy, complete with ample heating. I arrived at 5:40 PM, and without any fuss, a respectful lady promptly took my order. I chose the Beef Pho. This is one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in the Union County area, thanks to their delicious pho, intentionally simple menu, and high-quality offerings. I discovered this place just before the pandemic and managed to order from them a few times during that period. Nowadays, I find myself there at least once a week. My go-to orders are the beef pho, which I love for its rich broth, and their chicken summer rolls. Absolutely delicious! We visited the Turtle Back Zoo. After we worked up an appetite, we looked for a Vietnamese restaurant nearby. Saigon Cafe was very rated so we decided to try it. Sitting is outdoors due to COVID with which we were perfectly fine. It was in the middle of the 40s, but they had very nice heating that kept us toasty during our meal. We ordered summer rolls. Very good, but nothing could conquer the pig over Vermicelli. WOW! The pig was so tasteful and the portion size was perfect. Maybe it was the best Vietnamese I still had! I usually don't write reviews, but I had such a delicious meal, I wanted to share it. Very recommended!
This Vietnamese restaurant is one of the best I’ve ever been to! The food is remarkably authentic and absolutely delicious. The pho was exceptional, and they offered all the extra ingredients, sauces, and spices to amplify the flavors. The bubble tea was also fantastic and distinctive compared to other places I've tried, featuring real pieces of fruit or flavor. The staff was extremely friendly and even demonstrated how to enjoy certain appetizers in a traditional manner, which added a personal touch and enriched the authenticity of the experience. I had a fantastic experience at Saigon Cafe in Millburn. The restaurant is small but charming. The service is fast and the food is incredibly tasty. I highly recommend trying the grilled beef banh mi and the beef pho, both of which were outstanding. The Vietnamese coffee with jelly was also good. If you're in the area, I definitely suggest stopping by. As for COVID precautions as of March 2022, all servers were wearing masks and the restaurant was very clean. The seating area is not large, but it wasn't overly crowded either. I felt comfortable dining indoors.
This is a consistently great restaurant. Food is fresh and delicious. Now service is supreme especially if you're lucky enough to get Pat as your waitress. The order staff is good as well and always are loving to get your food or to your table. Weather permitting, they have a nice outdoor space to enjoy as tables can be limited inside.
