This place has the potential to be really great. Right now it's being let down by service and lack of refinement.We had egg rolls, which were really awesome. Really crispy and had great flavor on the inside. We also had two different pork dishes. The chopped pork had better flavor then the whole chop even though they were cooked the same. Also the rice was undercooked in parts. The sauce it came with was ok but could of use some more acidity.The service was the big let down. Took a while to get seated and get want attention. The was only one person who was acting as the bus boy and host.Not sure if they were just having an off day but our experience was not great. Might be willing to go agai...
This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the San Gabriel Valley. I went to all the other big names too. Golden Deli usually has a line and isn't as flavorful, Saigon Flavor's portions are kinda small, Vietnam House closed and Vietnam Restaurant has raised their prices. I always order their pho tai chin. I've also tried their other dishes like spring rolls and rice vermicelli.Will keep coming back as long as they'll have me.
The Pho is great here, probably one of the best in SGV, so probably why they give little to no service. You know you're coming back to dinner. Several times I have to get up and go because that was so bad the service, nobody comes to get your order. The best time to come here is when they open, so it is empty and guaranteed that you receive your order. If you see this place 30% full or more, go back because you are not happy.
So I made my order 450pm to be told it will be 40mins till ready. I show up and I end up waiting 25 extra minutes. I felt like they didn't start on my order untill they charged my card. anyways. The food was delicious, everyone tonight was being told their order would be an extra 25mins. This was my first time here so I don't know what is normal. I would definitely come back though. My order was ready for a long time. And the cashier knew my order and she saw me waiting there. But she helped everyone else who came in, some of which after me. I had to came up to her to get my order that’s been sitting there. Never going back there again. Wasted so much of my time.
